I've been very reflective this week, those long drives up north definitely help with that and many of my thoughts have been centered around life and how quickly life can sweep us off our feet--you know those curve balls it throws you. There is so much about the simplicity of living life that I crave; to plop myself in the center of others' lives and sit there for hours upon hours listening, helping, and caring. Through my work, I am able to get inside the nooks and cranny's of a family's life and document the moments that we all deserve to remember. I've prayed long and hard for God to show me my path and even though the signs have always been there from when I was a little girl, it's been an incredible (yet challenging) journey that someday I look forward to sharing with you. At the end of the day, it's the experience of giving to others that is so very important to me--it fills me up.
Today's family portrait session is up in Massachusetts with my college roommate's family--and I cannot wait! She contacted me over the summer wanting to set something up for the fall and I couldn't have been more honored! I'm so excited to plop myself in the center of their beautiful family and enjoy an afternoon of love. Today will be the fifth session in nine days and a period I looked at in great anticipation for months leading up and to be honest, I didn't quite know how I would get through it...but I did, and the images and memories we've created in each session sits in the most humbled space in my heart. I feel very blessed and grateful for each experience!
