I am so thrilled to be sharing this special collection with you! For me, this shoot was a dream come true. When the mother of these two beautiful children contacted me about setting up a date to capture her adorable little ones, Evan & Addison, I knew it was going to be something I would remember forever!
Not only did she want to shoot in the Rose Garden at Elizabeth Park, a very special place to me and my family, but she wanted this day to be a surprise gift for her husband! They had a lot to celebrate. Their six-year wedding anniversary, his birthday and Addison's first birthday! It was an honor to capture these images for them to cherish on such a special weekend.
It was a beautiful morning. The roses were in full bloom. When I greeted the Vujs family, Evan, who is 5, leaped right into my arms, no joke! Sure, we talked on the phone before about transformers and some really cool iPhone game but this was our first time meeting. I was a puddle right then and there, giving him hugs like we had known each other forever, so sweet. I knew it was going to be a great morning with this special brother and sister duo. The way Evan held his little sister and cared for her was simply precious. The way she laughed at him and wanted to do everything her big brother did was a beautiful sight. These two have found a permanent place in my heart. Such a fun-loving, sweet family who took time out of their busy schedules to be together and enjoy this quiet morning in the park.
